OKC Sweets Baking Camp
Designed for ages 8-13, OKC Sweets Baking Camp is an immersive experience for your child! Throughout the course, they will learn the ins and outs of how to weigh, measure, mix, decorate, and even clean up after themselves! As your child pipes macarons, rolls out cookie dough, and measures ingredients for cakes, they will learn essential skills to build their confidence in the kitchen. This class will not only provide personal growth for the individual child, but will also incorporate teamwork as we encourage and support one another in our work.

Daily Schedule:
Day 1: Cakes, Cupcakes, and Cookies
- Measuring, sifting, rolling, and baking, this day is all about prepping our ingredients and watching science come together to create delicious, baked from scratch cakes, cupcakes and sugar cookies.
- Cakes include: vanilla and chocolate cake and our vanilla sugar cookies (mix-ins provided!)
Day 2: Macarons and Buttercream
- Everyone’s favorite & elusive French dessert, the macaron is such a treat to make! Your child will learn the ins and outs of mixing, the process of macaronage, piping, and tips for baking these beautiful treats to perfection.
- Vanilla buttercream from scratch (no shortening here!)
Day 3: Decorating
- This day is all about learning how to crumb coat, base ice, and decorate cakes using the cakes and buttercream that they made!
- Students will learn to decorate a classic sugar cookie in our bakery style, fit to impress friends and family!
- Students will choose from a variety of fillings to fill and package their macaron masterpieces.
Details:
Classes are July 15-17 from 9am-1pm. Lunch will be provided daily. If your child has dietary restrictions, you are welcome to send a lunch that can be stored in our refrigerator, if needed.
Class sizes are small to allow each child the individualized attention they need to further their culinary skills.
We will be standing, working, and baking the majority of our time together, so please have your child wear comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Long hair must be tied back.
*Students will be working in a bakery that contains nuts, dairy, fruits, spices, flours, etc.
